What did YOU do today?

Ordered a bunch of crap.

Cat + more tube for ranger exhaust, bore adapter so I can put that edelbrock carb on the cadillac, and a plug-n-play trailer light harness for the Bronco.

Also inquired about a parcel of land šŸ™‚ this is more exciting than anything. Need to visit it and see what it looks like and what we think about what our commute would be if we lived on it but.. hell yeah. My best friend just bought 20 acres about an hour away.. township of 1200 people.. and he's said he'll split me off a chunk šŸ‘. The plan is to go visit and ride wheelers around on it the weekend after next.

Owning your own land is a good feeling. Especially if it’s not in a neighborhood with rules to break. Being able to do whatever you want and there is no one around that cares.

What would feel even better in this case is that I'd be able to buy the amount of acreage I want with cash.. rather than a 30 year loan lol.

got the garage somewhat organized, went through a big hassle with fleabay over a blackstone I was getting for my daughters wedding gift, Already had a picture of it with a card so I was committed to getting them one. Ended up just getting one at walmart & delivering it to them. Tinkered with the hhr just for my own curiosity. It turns out it has a bad flexplate. Starter will spin the torque converter but not the crankshaft. Im done messing with it. Going up for sale for parts. I could just let it sit there and it be a storage area for softner salt but Im tired of looking at it and mowing around it.

Finished discing the area that I started yesterday with the tractor then switched to the tiller. it stalled on me a few times which was annoying so I put compressed air backward through the tank petcock and that fixed it... we'll see what the evening has left in it...

Here's a few pics of what I've been doing, the pond I was discing, start of the area I was discing... last one is the blue angels flying right by the house as I was on the tractor...

The rest of the evening I kept tilling, back flowing the fuel tank fixed the tractor... then once it was dark I moved the tractor by the shop to start installing the LED lights I've had for like 2-3 years, got both installed but only one wired, the wiring kit didn't have enough wire length... didn't have it in me to do the other tonight. When I parked the tractor I realized I needed to aim the lights way lower... Having lights will be very nice though. Oh, it's first day of burning season before they cut it off for "air quality" so I took care of that :)

I tore down a wall.

And then built a new wall.

There was a little alcove here that mostly just wasted a bunch space, so we are turning it into a coat/storage closet. Made the obligatory run to Home Depot with the trailer on Saturday, but first had to deal with a bad battery in the F250, which really means I got to buy and replace two batteries. Bonus! :annoyed: I ended up keeping the good truck battery and will use that to power my chartplotter and stuff in the boat. Not really the right tool for the job but it should work for now.

Got a dividend check šŸ¤‘šŸ¤‘šŸ¤‘

Then went and started a commemorative tattoo for one of... no... THE best movie ever made, starring the ONLY superhero from New Jersey.

Gets colored a few days after Christmas 🤩

I broke down the ramp on the trailer now that the paint has had some time to dry and did some touch up on the middle section.

Then messed with the dust shields and hubs on the clown car. The dust shields are a press fit instead of being bolted to the knuckle. I’m not confident they will stay in place. I’m going to see if I can get the local shop to tack weld them in place. I just want done with this project and get the damn thing back on the road. The tie rod ends are still ok for another year or two. I’m just going to go with that for now. And hope for the best.
