Like the title states.... what did you do today? Anything fun? Doesn't have to be ranger related at all.

I.... swamped my wheeler 😣😑 on the first time out this year. All thanks to my lackluster memory. The back corner of the airbox has a little rubber hose that comes off of it.. in case of water intrusion. The idea is that the *little* bit of water that made its way Into the airbox will find its way down into the little tube and not get sucked through the filter Into the motor.

I 100% forgot that I took that stupid little tube off last year to drain it/clean it... and never got back around to installing it.. so when I found myself framed in a water hole that got MUCH deeper since last season...

...water was able to bubble up through the bottom of the airbox to about half way up the filter and it eventually ingested some.

^^my milkshake after we got back to where we put in. Belt box was also full lol.

So.. tomorrow we start the arduous process of deswamping. Yamahas are some of the more difficult motors to flush out... could take 8-9-10 times of drain-fill-crank.. drain-fill-crank.. drain-fill-crank... ugh. Wish me luck!

Most of the day was a family reunion today, then I decided to mow the back section of the property, was mowing for a while and decided to add the second missing belt cover bolt and found a couple loose ball bearings... one of the idlers was SCREWED (IE missing all of the balls on it's bearing) so after blowing all the grass off I just left it and continued on... was able to finish mowing before it broke when I pushed it a little harder and spit the belt... time to order parts... will probably dink with the 5.0L here in a few, or not...

Made my Wife her Sunday morning breakfast, SURPRISE, I do it every Sunday but still say SURPRISE :)

Helped my older neighbor install a motion sensor light in his back yard, that he was sure he still had all the parts for................he didn't, but between both our garages we got it working

Visited a friend in rehab, fractured hip, so physio rehab, lol

Played with our newest 1 year old grandson for quite awhile, "peek a boo" never gets old, then he did a big poop, so I gave him back to his mother :)

Pulled my pressure washer out of mothballs. Fired up first pull which shocked me to no end. But once I shut it down gas kept pouring out of the carb. Pulled the bowl off and the steel parts had rusted. So float isn't moving. Ordered a carb from amazon. It'll be here in a week. So I put the carb in a pot of vinegar and will check it tomorrow. If I can get the pin out I will be able to clean all the garbage out with air.

I went to pick up my kid from work. But I was early and my older kid was just coming out for her lunch break. So she hopped in and I bought her lunch, then we got back and parked in the shade and waited for my younger one to get off. Then my older one went back to work and my youngest and I got milkshakes and went to the river, found some shade and threw sticks for my dog. All in all, nice day

spent a few hours in the attic throwing insulation in between the 2x4s.

when we had the roof replaced a few years back, i never noticed they took all the insulation out when cleaning out the attic. we had the old school slats holding the shingles on and needed new decking and shingles.

so, i was laying up there in the 125+ degrees with the bales of insulation laying it out. i got about a third of the area done and thought about doing the rest the next day but it was just as hot up there.

so, next weekend i will do more.

Dropped the dodge off to have the rockers and cab corners replaced so I can get it inspected. Also looks like I’m going to need a new set of tires asap.
I got a flat tire driving it home the other day, realized that the tires on it were 12 years old and the spare is 28.

I performed the bi-annual gutter cleaning event. I may bump it up to 3 times per year, just to make it easier. Waiting til I see leave overflowing at the spouts seems to be a little much. I could probably cut the time down if I did it a little more often. It only took about 30 minutes, but If I did it more I could get it down to 10, maybe.
