What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Red pepper!
Great idea I'll try it this weekend!

Paintball gun, if you can catch them on the truck.

Pictures as promised. Two of my “cook box”, though I have plates, cups, bowls and cooking utensils in another one. And one of the camp setup.

Here is one of the other boxes. The other three are similar but without the tray. This one is labeled the Cast Iron box because of the pie irons and the griddle. There is also a stove box, and equipment box, and a life vest box.

cover the hood in crushed/ fine ground red peppers. after a few snootfuls and licking it off their paws, the cat will get the hint.

That was a great scene in 'Cool hand Luke'...

Well after over a 3 month wait I finally received my Paintless Dent Repair tools in the mail. Now to pick a day and start slowly pushing the dents back into place.

Added Hood Scoop. Got this 03 Mustang scoop and with a little work on the honey comb grill, I got it to fit. Also replaced all the hardware. The scoop is a very good piece, the hardware is crap. Don't even waste your time on it, like I did. Get some good hardware and after you trim the grill, it's a breeze

Brought it down to the inspection station for its yearly Safety inspection. Passed with flying colors but then again it is just a safety inspection and not emissions. MA. state law is anything over 15 years old only gets a safety inspection so as long as there are no safety issues and check engine light isn't on you get a sticker.

Started pushing out the dent in the lower part of my tailgate. What a major learning curve using paintless tool vs. Normal body work. I'm going to have some serious time in to this dent fixing my screwups from pushing to hard. Not looking for perfect but this dent was a good quarter of an inch deep if not more in the center. Anything close to flat will look better.

About a a third of the way pushed out.

Where I stopped for the day due to time, ya know food is a must at some point...

I still have a long ways to go with this dent as you can see. I am definitely going to pick up the glue on puller because this would have been much easier with that one helping pull parts of the dent out. The paint is cracked which means the metal is stretched so there is zero chance this will ever look proper without filler and paint job done to it. It's now a project for another day.

Sprayed the hinges of the driver's door with WD-40. Spay graphite clumps in the Florida humidity.
I tried WD-40 on my hinges but found I needed to do it once a month or so to keep mine from creaking/squeaking. I found motor oil works for close to a year before another application is needed.
