What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Mounted the new slicks. Still a month to go before the track opens(if it opens at all). Getting sick of this lockdown............

Installed a mount bracket for my handheld radios.

Sir I know my smells. My truck may have smelled like rotting clams, a sardine orgy, partially digested captain crunch, armpit onions, and the farts of a 14th century street urchin, BUT NOT OLD PEOPLE!

I've smelled old people, and I don't have to smell your truck to know that old people smell MUCH better than your truck's interior does.

I'll have you know I have 2 days until I am officially old... So you can't say anything until Monday!

Now let me figure out this AARP website. Where's my social security check! Get those kids off my lawn! Did I take my fiber tablets this morning?

Just in case I forget......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DIRTMAN!!!!

Wait, our birthdays are only 2 days apart? For the record I'm 1 year and 4 days away from officially being old... but since I slept wrong and my shoulder/rib area hurts now to the point I could barely tie my right shoe a bit ago says otherwise...

And, again, just in case I forget.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SCOTT!

Thanks, just got back from a buddys daughters birthday party and another buddy that has the same birthday as me just a few years younger but has a laser engraver handed me a cigar case with my nick name (rowdy) and initials engraved in it, that's a hard one to beat...

Shoulder/rib area still doesn't feel right, if the stupid cat makes me sleep weird again I'll have to kick the jerk... I tried an Alieve, I tried drinking it off, I can at least breathe all the way in with just minor pain but it was frustrating this morning... stupid aging, getting old isn't for the weak :)

My first name is Rowdy. Rowdy Fitzgerald

Nice.

My nick name came up camping over memorial day like 8 years ago... I went through a period of saying howdy instead of hi or whatever just to be funny, and for whatever reason my buddy's 8 year old daughter decided I needed a nickname and came up with Howdy Rowdy which got shortened... which was kinda to be ironic since I'm usually more reserved and play things safe...

I got the time and weather to replace my two year old passenger side upper control arm/ball joint:

Old UCA:

Diagnosis: thin easily degraded neoprene boot + weak spring.

Mevotech CMK 80052 in case anyone wants one. :(

A friend told me to put a little ball peen hammer in the cab and tap it on the stick shift hard when I go over bumps after I replaced my crossmember, to ween myself of the racket. Might work for you too. Hope it helps!

Used it to bring my wheeler across town to cause soil erosion and other earth murder things

Not a Ranger, but tore into the F350 to see why the brakes felt funny on the tow a week ago... found the front wheel bearings a little loose and the rear brakes lubricated... the drivers side rear axle seal is much worse than the passenger side axle seal but they're both done for... the shoes don't look too bad but they've still got oil on them so I should probably replace them...

Used it to collect soil samples in the forest.
