what buckets are better?

I'll go take a picture of the EB buckets on the drivers side of my 91 ranger. It wasn't very hard to get it to fit well, I cut out a small section and welded in a small piece of angle iron and it fit like a charm. They are MUCH stouter than the stock buckets....I've broken those.

It's hard to get a good shot of it with the coil in there, but you can see what it entails...nothing major really.

If you have a set of torches you could probably just heat it up and beat it into shape as well.

is it hard to mount the bucket on the drivers side and did you have any problems with springs bowing?

You have to modify the bucket as I said in the post a couple up from this one.

My coils sit straighter in the EB buckets than they every did in the stock ranger buckets.

No coil bow at all.

No track bar with TTB, and no anything under my truck, just bare frame!

So from this angle it looks like your trac bar is going to swing up right into the engine X-member. Im trying to figure out my SAS right now and this is the biggest issue I see. If I use the stock coil buckets it doesnt look like the trac bar mount on the axle will line up with a trac bar bracket in this location.

Thats exactly what I want to do but on Bronco IIs the drivers side frame has that stupid indent in it. Did you have to deal with that on your ranger?

When I did my sas I stretched the wheel base 3" to help get a head of the bump. I also used some thin pieces of metal to shim behind the bucket and between the frame. I used the buckets from the 78 f150 donner truck. They sat approx 2" higher than the stock alowing me to run 5.5" lift coils with only 3.5" of lift over stock. With that said I ran into trouble with the steering box and track bar clearing each other. Just my 2 cents.
