what about this tubing bender will it work

thats not a tube bender, that is a flat bar and solid stock bender.wont work for tube....

if you want a cheap bender you can make the harborfart 12ton "pipe" bender work for "tube". there are a few tricks to it. proably find the info by googling "harbor frieght kinker"

if you want a nice tube bender, protools 105 is a nice unit. Contact dave@threat here on the board, he can get good deals.

Me and a few friends picked a HF kinker at a swap meet last year, and it works alright... Like you said it takes a few tricks, but it more or less gets the job done.

I have heard a lot of good about the JD2 benders though.

thanks for the input guys!

I've put my Harbor Freight 12 ton through some abuse and the sides haven't ripped off yet.

I've gotta bend some 1.5" OD solid cold rolled bar tomorrow. I'll see how it holds up.

But I'll tell ya, you can bend square tube too!
