Good news Paul, We (the Fire Dept) don't consider smokers to be a fire hazard if it's in a well ventilated area, and there is no grass or other hazards catching fire...Also, if you live in city limits, contact your local fire department, and invite them over so they can do pre-planning and also so you can double check about the burn ban laws in your area...Looks great Also looks pretty heavy, I'm surprised you don't have swivel casters on one end and stationary casters on the other end, so you don't have to "carry" that bad boy

Well, I found out that I had waaaaaaaaay too little wood and memphis style(sweet) is not my taste.

We just picked up a used charcoal smoker... but it's one of those ones made out of an old refridgerator. Should work good enough for smoking processed meats this winter though till we can build a nicer one. Ours was free! lol
