For the first time in i can't remember... my wife made me dinner. Well her and my daughter. They wanted to do a father's day feast. Wife asked what i wanted. Crock pot roast with potatoes carrots onion and rootabaga... and some Italian green beans.

I did make desert. I found berries on sale and made a batch of strawberry preserves. My wife and daughter have been asking for some Indian Fry Bread... perfect combo...

I feel like I could explode!

decided to order several appetizers rather than a regular meal at Bob Evans.
that's sausage gravy over fries with cheddar cheese.

once back home dessert was a Kroger brownie, with decadent chocolate.

BBQ chicken thighs... foil wrapped baby golds and onion... green beans and bacon.

No pictures but I ended up whipping up a no-electric-and-still-raining dinner tonight. Large can of chunk chicken, chopped carrots and onions, can of corn, and two packs of Jasmine ready rice. Whipped it all up in one go on the flat top like a big batch of fried rice. Quick, easy, relatively healthy, and didn’t have to open a fridge or freezer. I’m starting to think I need a second flat top, one for travel and one for the patio out back under a roof, I use it frequently in both locations.
