What’s for dinner tonite!

Dang bilbo... that sure makes my nacho a bit less appealing.

What’s for dinner tonite!

Hibachi style rice with leftover hot sausage/grilled peppers and onions

I bought a 17 inch flat top for camping and out on the deck.

How big is that one?

I know mine has a ton of heat rising when she's rippin. Does yours heat up the cap glass seal enough to worry about?

I learned to run mine on the lowest setting. It will get blazing hot on high. Low gives me just enough time to learn it.

Doesn’t seem to be a problem for the cap, I used to use a portable grill on the tailgate. That didn’t really bother anything. This does splatter oil and stuff around. I’m thinking of getting a folding plastic table and maybe see if I can find a silicone mat for under it.

Onion, celery, mushroom, and fresh basil in with store bought meatballs.
Chicken and bacon tortellini.

The world needs more venison backstraps.

The world needs more venison backstraps.
Amen.

First time I had some was at a pig pickin' I was invited to shortly after moving to South Carolina. After cooking the pig, while they were pulling the cooked pork apart and prepping it to eat, they put a couple venison back straps on the back of the smoker and cooked them to perfection. That day may have been the best I have ever eaten in my whole life. My first pig pickin', venison backstraps, first time eating mustard based BBQ sauce, good friends. Oh my, oh my. What a day.

Me too! I had never heard of them until we moved here, where they're pretty popular. My wife has been making them at home and she's just about perfected the recipe, for me at least. Growing up we had Farina or Cream of Wheat that was similar to grits but made from wheat instead of corn. We only ever had it at breakfast and it was always sweetened with maple syrup, brown sugar, fruits, jams, etc like oatmeal. I always assumed grits was eaten in a similar manner, and as I wouldn't be heartbroken if I never had Farina again I never really sought them out. Now I wonder if Farina would be ok after stuffing it with cheese, bacon, and/or shrimp!
