Wet passenger side carpet!!! HELP!!

My cousin had the same issue on a 94, he took the whole dash out, completly out, then we poured some water on the glass seal and all the cab.
turned to be the fire wall.
the corner had a bit of rust, and the water went from under the cowl into there.
it was on the passenger side btw.

maybe that helps o out.

Possibly thanks man, just wish there was an easier way to fix this. Anyways I ran the heater today since it was chilly and no wet carpet, I seriously doubt that is the source. Still waiting to see when I have time to pull up the carpet and inspect the cowls/firewall closer.

Let us know what you come up with:icon_thumby:

Does your A/C work well? We're having issues with a Jeep XJ; it's losing R-134 at a very slow rate. Anyway, the passenger-side carpet/mat is usually damp, too. And like yours, with no rain or puddles driven through. Plus, I've sealed all the floor-pan when patching some weak spots. The only place it gets damp is right in the middle of the floor-pan.

Took and had the A/C system checked out, and the problem's been narrowed down to something called an "evaporator seal" that is allowing the refrigerant to seep. Not sure if the problems are interconnected.

Might ask where this part is on your truck, and if it could possibly lead to the damp-carpet issue.

Nah just fixed a leak by replacing the high side port. Ac is working awesome! Got gauges and all that, it checks out, plus when the ac is on it dumps out in the correct place it seems a good flow of condensation by the passenger side wheel well.

I've got one in my 88, slow trickle down behind the kick panel and ECU...took out the ECU and all the insulation so I can try and see what's up there. One of my shop guys said it could be a leak at the drip rail.

Found the source, it's coming from the top left rear window seal. Strangely I can't get it to sit right. I wedged it in place using a crescent wrench and my headache rack then stuffed it full of window seal clear silicone. I'll see If it holds up. Any idea if I can just replace the rubber window surround?

good idea! i even have the catalog lol

Update* the silicone held and I am now leak free kick ass!
