were to tap the d35 for a drain plug

I don't think I am ready for body damage yet; espically since I have started repairing the body of my BII.

examples below. i dont "like" body damage but i dont take the bypass to avoid it. these are just from the past 2 trips.

this is what i get for pivoting on a tree.

What are those seats out of?

ford probe GT. they are hacked in there but they are super deep comfortable bucket seats. i have not hooked up the electric controls and most likely wont. it has manual sliders and tilt, thats all i need.

I've got a draim plug just like the one pictured on the last page but there is another option. You can open the diff and drill a hole into the bottom cover bolt cavety. Remove the bottom bolt and all the fluid drains out. Pretty slick setup. However, on an offroad truck, that bolt gets hammered on pretty regularly. I wouldn't hesitate to do it on a street truck though.

you mean just like junkie suggested (and showed a pic of) in post #8? :icon_thumby:

I drilled and tapped the beam..

your wheeling isen't any worse than what i do. with only the vent ran up to the engine bay and looped over itself i have gotten almost no water in my front diff.thats with getting stuck underwater, hydrolocking my truck, boating through holes that are up to the lights.and seals that weep 90wt.

a cheap 90wt pump will evacuate the pig quite well.

i am just looking for the easiest way to get the water filled fluid out of the front pig.
