I had called the hosting company around 5:30PM est. The server was offline for some kind of reinstall. I don't know.

You'd think they would do that stuff at like 4am when there isn't many people on line.

Well, the adjacent county (my own doesn't bother) decided to repaint the lines near where I live at 4pm rather than midnight. It's sort of hard to just take a different way--you're talking 10 miles to get around the 1/2 mile stretch. There were 3 school buses in line. I peeled off rather than sit for 15 minutes for the paint to dry. I'd rather be driving than sitting. I made sure to go up to the head of the line and curse the peon in the Do Not Pass truck. He seemed used to the abuse.
