Welding question


They sell clamp on mounts and baskets, but I wouldn't trust it not to get loose with vibration and then I have a basket, jack, tire and fuel cans flying at someone's windshield at 60mph.

Now where's the fun in that? Lol sounds like you've got a good plan!

I would remove the headliner, plastic trim etc like stated already. Post pics of how you do it!
 
i weld on mine when its running sometimes.....cause the welder was on the engine or i was using two of the batteries.


but i prefer to disconnect the battery and pcm when at all possible



also...the rails are tougher then you would guess, and making it bolt on is plenty reliable.
