weird turn signal issue

For the past few weeks, I've been having a problem with my turn signals staying on. I don't mean they don't self cancel, I mean after they're on for awhile, the lights stop flashing, and just stay on. This happens in both directions, and with 4-way flashers. Seems almost like the flasher relay(s) get warm and stick on. After i do something like leave the 4-ways on for a bit and they stop working, they won't work for a bit.

are there seperate relays for each side? where is it/they located?

The big usually round thing in your fuse box, yea replace that thing.
