we should ALL do something...

Will.....i was not sulking. Nothing you say really pisses me off.....it frusterates me....because i know you are smarter then me....and a better "talker" then me....so you can look knowledgable and whatnot while i look like an ass....same thing hillary clinton does....you have the unique abilty to make a pile of bullshit look like something that actually means something.

Unfourtantly i dont have that abilty. All i can do is write down what i think\know and hope someone realizes what im saying.

You spend countless hours on the computer drawing up graphs, and charts, and whatever to prove a point. Sorry....i have to work for a living. I dont have the time or abilty to sit and draw up charts on why a 3.5L is better then a 300, or a Diesel is better then gas, or whatever.

You just like saying things you know will get a rise out of me. I could sit here and say pepsi is the best pop ever invented and you would be like "No Coke is"....or i could say the sky is blue and you would say its every color but blue becase blue is whats reflected to your eyes.

So yeah...whatever.

You think I'm trying to get a rise out of you?

Nope.

But when you say something like "6.2/6.5 twins = junk" or a venomous attack on a high tech engine I should let it slide when I know it's wrong?

What you think of as an attack, I consider as a defense of the truth.

I don't let anything in life go by me and accept it without investigating it. I didn't suddenly buy a new Honda and then claim it was the best thing ever. My first truck was a '77 F100 with a 300-6 and I owned that in 1980 something. I've probably had 40 vehicles over the years--I have 4 with license plates and insurance on them and one without at the moment. My sister in law owns a '65 Mustang I helped her pick out and went to New York to pick up for her. There was a time I hated electronic crap because it was worthly of hate. It's been a long road but the whole industry has come around. I despaired at the passing of the Muscle Car Era. Now I have a friend with a 428 SCJ and he wants to buy another one--he decided to get a new whatever-it-is Cobra Mustang because it was faster, safer, easier to maintain. He wants to drive it, not leave it in his garage. He has a Super Bee and a classic Bronco as well. I put my homemade boats in his pond.

There's nothing wrong with looking things up and supporting your claims. I would say that is the opposite of what Hillary Clinton does. We aren't real-time here at a debate.

High Tech Engines arnt any better then the "low tech" engines of past.

yeah they make more HP....but HP dont mean much......torque is where its at.

:threadjacked:

This isn't a Chevy Diesel thread.

So what were we talking about? I got lost somewhere towards the end.

If you want one for the records. The little 2.3 Ranger is becoming more reliably than my dad's 91' 5.9 Cummins. But then again, thats what happens when people don't take care of there engines.

I like those banners. Forgot that the TRS sells those. I already have a 2006 member sticker on the driver's back window. Just might have to add another one. Most likely the "Mud Tires and Lift Kits; Don't make you an offroader" or the "No Problem/Problem".

With a TRS decal on your rig, I think it'd be pretty hard to mistake you for not being part of this organization.....
