Yep... I actually just had a lecture about this in my Engineering classes. We are placing tidal turbines in the ocean actually within the next few years up here in AK. Pretty interesting stuff.

this is great! all those people who have shot down the idea of placing wind turbines off the coasts due to "destroying the view" can not alternativly adopt this approach. i like it and it's actually the only spam i like (i hate fake meat)
