Watch this Honda Video...

The Ridgeline serves a purpose. It does what sooo many "real" truck buyers use them for. you know you have seen the people driving around in F-150's and various superduties with the hard cover on the bed and no scratched in the hitch. Many just buy it for size, while never using it as a truck.

Yes there are some that just want to look pretty in town, but I guarantee you a Ridgeline will never be able to truly out perform a Ranger. Two entirely different types of trucks.

Depends what you want in a truck. If you want something comfortable and relatively quick to haul mulch and gardening stuff with on the weekends the Ridgeline kicks the Rangers ass. Every time. If you want something that rides like a truck to go off road with, the Ranger wins.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER say a Ridgeline kicks a Rangers ass, I will personally pull your card!
Dude I see Ridgelines built everyday, don't even....

Some of you guys kill me.

Honda is the best product made--car, lawn mower, whatever they build. They design to 1/10th the failure mode of any other manufacturer. That movie was right on the money. They built cars that didn't need a catalytic converter to pass emissions when American cars needed them. They built a gas motor with a pre-combustion chamber to lower emissions. They have the only automatic transmission in production that doesn't use planetary gearsets--it use counter shafts like a manual tranny.

The only mistake in Honda's history was the Amigo. And the guy that agreed to that committed suicide.
+1
the make some pretty bad ass engines ...
the ricer mentality is whats got you by the balls ...:dunno:
if there engines were so shitty why would they be winning races
also look at Toyota they i believe are smarter than ford and Chevy combined:shock: they sell technology to almost all car manufactures

I wont never buy foreign.

A- I dont want something that has the structual integrity of a piece of shit paper.

B- I like torque, low end, and lots of it.

and C- Every single one of them look like a pile of dog shit steaming in the yard.

later,
Dustin

My mom has a 2007 Honda Civic. Yes, it does drive better than my Ranger. I live 45 mins southwest of Atlanta. We went from my driveway to Orlando, FL on one tank of gas, 800 miles. The only thing is that it doesnt really have low end power, but it will get up and go as i have floored it a few times. The gas mileage really comes in handy too.

Honda does build some of the best cars. Trucks on the other hand, preferbly choose someone else if you really need "the" truck. Ridgeline is great and all. But its more of a urban hualer than an actually work truck. And something about a transverse engine in a truck that doesn't settle right with me. I still can't figure it out. Is it FWD, RWD, Full-time 4WD, or true AWD ? I know its a 4WD system, but what mode primiarly? Subaru is AWD, I know that for a fact. Put one on the lift, put it in Drive, and all 4-wheels at once turned together.

Honda is bringing back the Insight. After reveiwing it, I'm disappointed. Its more of a hackback Civic. And the mpg is about the same as the Civic hybrid. What happened to the 3-cyl 70mpg wonder hybrid from Honda?

I believe the 3 cylinder wonder went away because apparently a lot of people don't want a two seater...the same trend we're seeing in the truck market.

:icon_confused:

didnt the ridgline whoop ass in some meaningless desert race thing???

:D

The Chevrolet Colorado was jointly designed by GM's North American operations, GM's Brazil operations, and Isuzu, based on the GMT355, itself the basis for the GMT 345-based Hummer H3. The vehicles are manufactured and produced at a GM plant in Rayong, Thailand, and in Shreveport, Louisiana.(wiki)
Just razzing ya:D

Yeah, the Ridgeline totally sucks.

Honda must have cheated to do so well over the last two years of BITD/SNORE competition. Them and Kumho (major sponsor of CORR) and all them other damned foreigners, takin' over the world and whatnot.

Why would anyone want to buy a reliable, reasonably priced foreign car when they could gt a not-so reliable, not-so efficient domestic car (which depreciates faster) for more money?

dosen't get much more reliable then a well maintained ranger from my experience :D
