warning audio alarm trouble

I am having a problem locating and disabling a rouge alarm. The alarm consists of 5 beeps that last for about 2 seconds each. The sequence of five beeps repeats about five times, then stops. The beeps are coming from the dash. I've disabled the seat belt sensors, worked on the door closed sensors and am stumped. The alarm just starts out of the blue, then doesn't go off again for about an hour.Can anybody lead me into the right direction?

I have the same year model with the same dinger problem. I have run through a couple of things and can't find what his causing it either. The last thing I have'nt checked is my air bag light may be burnt out. you could try that it may be the problem. i may tear my dash down this week and see if thats it.

Thanks for the info. Please let me know if the air bag light is actually the problem. I recently tried disconnecting the battery cables and reattaching to see if it would automatically reset - didn't work.

when you turn they key to run, all your lights will go through a self test. does the airbag light on the dash and the passenger airbag off light (if equipped) come on for a short bit?

check your airbag light, that's what was wrong with mine. the previous owner of my truck must have gotten tired of looking at the airbag light, but instead of having it fixed he just pulled the bulb out. I replaced the bulb and now i have light on instead of a dinger going off. i will have to have the codes pulled.

Air bag malfunction.

Five beeps, five times is a code for an airbag malfunction.
I wish I could tell you how to fix it.
