Wanting a prerunner ranger

That's a good idea with reusing the triple bypass shocks. I was looking into National's spring under kit that seems pretty good. I called Dave not too long ago to talk to him about his kits, seems like a good guy, very informative. Which kit do you have from him? All custom or one he sells off his site? I am probably going with his boxed equal length beams that have the d35 ends that way there is no bearing issues like Dave was talking about. Yes I will have to upgrade the hubs and brakes but sounds like it will be worth it. I will also be picking up one of his steering kits. Now I need to decide what coilovers, triple bypass, and bump stops I want. Any suggestions?

Wellt eh front kit i have is his. got the giant 64" kit onthe back before i new about dave and got to know him lol, now hes pushin me to do his new link kit :annoyed:. i may never finish my truck haha. the front kit is his equal leght beam kit (the new style which is the one you see on his web site IIRC) w/ the dana 44 ends, not the 35s as even those tend to break when your racing lol. the 35s should be just fine for you unless you really do plan on racing down the road. the steering kit is also super nice (still wait on the rest of the parts, damn USPS lost some stuff) and very well built. Ill get you some pics of my kit here next weekend when i go down to start puttin everything together.

As for shocks, Dave can get you the coilover and what ever else as well. he suggested teh RadFlows as they have the tightest tollerances inteh shock industry and he has yet to have a prob with his so i went with the radflows as well. Im not sure if Radflow makes a triple bypass as i have not checked but i may be gettin some fox bypasses as my friend can help me out there :D.

Yeah I am definitely not racing it. It will be my DD plus a weekend toy. I want to put good stuff in it though beacuse I want to be able to take it out on the weekend and still be able to drive it home and to work on Monday. I was looking into the Giant leaf kit too and most likely will go with that. As far as shocks go I will probably go with Fox all the way around because my installer is an authorized dealer and he can get me really good prices. He is actually calling Dave from Threat today to set me up with his kits. So with in 2 months I am thinking it will be up and running. I should be buying the truck here soon, not sure if I am going to put a new motor in it or just have the motor and tranny rebuilt. I will be starting a new thread once it gets going with the progress and lots o pics. Like I have said before, any advice is welcomed. Thanks!

Let me know if Dave talks you into a link setup. I am still trying to figure out what direction to go with the back end of my truck. The Giant 64" kit and Dave's future spring pack are both high on my list of options. Being that we are both in AZ, your Giant 64" kit might be real appealing if the timing and price were right.:D

Hey I was thinking we should just back half the frame. That will take care of the bent section, and make it even easier to move in the linked area you know you want to go. Plus we can get the cage built and done at the same time.

yeah yeah haha but that requires way more work and i wanna get this thing racin. that is a good point about the cage but when i do the rear cage part im gunna incorperate a part that i can put coilovers to should i switch to a link setup. Then i jsut gotta cut the frame out and tube in the areas that need bracing. We will see, money is gettin short as im gettin a built trans for the big diesel at the end of the month (4,500 buck out the door) and am lookin at gettin a RZR S for dune season seein as how im out of a bike since i sold mine :bawling:
