Valve tick low oil pressure

My brother lives in Independence, send me an email (pm box full) and we'll meet up sometime... it's easier to tell first hand.

Had a huge HLA issue with my wife's former 89' probe gt.

We fixed it by changing the oil and going with a higher quality oil filter. (We all now think of "Fram" as the real 4-letter word) Napa gold or silver. For some reason? It loved those Wix filters. (Wix makes napa filters..)

I agree with "Tedybear" a cheap filter will make my wife,s Jetta tick, but a good Wix filter made the lifter tick go away

I have been using motorcraft filters. They are inexpensive, but I wouldn't call them cheap. I feel they are good quality, and made in the USA.

Get a mechanical oil pressure gage if you don't have one to see what the oil pressure really is (before tearing into the engine, or trying any oil additives that are usually a waste of money). Personally I don't like, or trust the factory electric gages.
