Valve noise on start up

I had been hearing valvetrain noise on startup for the past few months, but today my girlfriend started it when I was outside the truck and it is LOUD. After about 30 seconds it went away, but what is the problem and how do I fix it?

what kinda oil filter u using?

Sounds a little viscous on start up. If I were you, I'd start with a fresh oil change with the recomended weight. 10w-30 or 5w-30? I dont know since I dont own a 2.3.

Even with a shitty Fram filter the noise should only last a few seconds, not 30. I can't speculate any further than the filter issue with the information provided.
