Vacuum Line replacement

Hey all, I've come to the conclusion that something is wrong with my vacuum lines. 1) there's a rough idle at times. 2) 4x4 seems to not be working as well as it should even though the transfer case and hubs are working (I've been told it could be due to poor vacuum, my whole system is electrical). So i was wondering, what's the easiest way to check the vacuum lines and connections and does anyone have any pics of the vacuum lines or key components? I don't really know exactly what i'm looking for. thx
