Has anyone completed a 302 swap into a B2 with a AOD (the non electric version)? This would be into an early B2 with carbed 2.8.

I am sure they have

Good read here on Carbed V8 swap and info on the AOD: https://therangerstation.com/tech_library/V8Conversions.shtml

You can't use mechanical fuel pump because there is no room for it, so plan on using an electric inline pump, 7-9psi

Small block HEI distributor is the best way to go for spark, 1 wire and a vacuum hose for the install, 2 wires if you want a Tach hook up

I'll say this: the AOD is one heavy pig to get in to place and above the radius arm crossmember. Have fun! (y)

I put an AOD in my 1988 302 ranger 2wd its not that bad if you have the engine out then you can put it in through the engine bay ( thats what i did the last time was waiting on a rear main for the engine) you can also put it in attached to the engine if crank pulley is off the engine still very tight but doable. As for linkage on the AOD watch the monster transmissions video
those are the part numbers I used some other numbers might be in part 2 of the video. I hope this helps on the transmission side of things
