you want me to go to a V8 forum OK here it is lets talk about putting a 350 engine in a ranger how about that no closing this it is a CONVERSION forum try me

Putting a SBC in a Ranger is a very viable option that makes great power. On top of everything else, Chev 350 speed parts are everywhere. You can make that Ranger really scream for very little $$. What year Ranger are you dealing with and what is the SBC out of?

Also, your lack of punctuation makes your posts nearly impossible to decipher. You might get more responses if your posts were more easily read.

You need to get your hands dirty. I don't know if you know what you're getting youself into with a swap like that. =/ What gets me is that you want to carb a '98 truck. If I had a '98, I'd drive it as a stock D/D. It's dependable. The newest car I've ever owned was a '93.

If the engine failed, this would make a little more sense... If it were me, I swap that into something older that's cheaper, like a Gen-1 with a bad 2.9L. Mainly because of the emissions on the 98, no sense in ruining a perfectly good truck, IMO. Gen-1s are very common, and can sometimes have 2.9Ls with cracked heads (which makes them cheap).

The one big problem I see is that you are going with the newer Ranger, '98' and up. Even going with a carb'd Ford motor can cause real pain when it comes to wiring. What motor is/was in the Ranger? Too many things are dependant on you having the computer.

wow your pretty smart i aont going to put it in a ranger there is too many freakin rangers here. I am going to stick with the Chevy C10 body and say screw ford yep and jsparrard or whatever your name is you know it i am doing it in spite of all the damn moderators worthless
