V8, 5.0, or No badge

PEople wh've seen my truck get asked to indentify the one thing on my truck that I intentionally put there purely for "decoration"

Exactly one tiny item that serves no functional purpose whatsoever...

It's a "4.0 litre" badge on the tailgate opposite the "Electronic Fuel Injection" badge
that ford put on my 1987 Ranger....

The 4.0 badge is from a jeep cherokee.
It's barely noticeable.

I DO have a 4.0 engine, though it is of course a Ford 4.0.

It would be more interesting if I actually bothered to replace the
"Ranger" fender badges that fell off years ago...

I'd put a cobra emblem on it.
I like this idea very much, and i think ill do it when i drop a 5.0 in my truck.

5.8 badge. Scare em into submission. Or LS7 badge.

Seriosly though, clean is good :D but if you really wanted a badge, I'd go the v-8

on the left side LS7 badges maybe a LS7 sticker where the 4x4 sticker goes on the bed. on the right side HEMI stickers. that would make them think. :icon_confused: :icon_thumby: :icon_rofl: :D

I'm a crazy badge hunter myself, just like how my Ranger ended up with a Cherokee's 4x4 badge on it because Ford deemed it unnecessary. My vote is the TownCar badge folloed by the small Ford V8 badge, "TownCar V8" if you want to go specific. But for one badge either the 5.0 or the Ford new style V8 badges with the 8 set in the V, you can get China versions at walmart for roughly 3 bucks.

my last ranger was a 97 lowrider that i stuffed a 302 in from a mountaineer! i put those slick v8 badges from the explorers where the v and the 8 are tied together. that looked awesome on there!

I like that Hybrid one, that or just the V8 enblem off one of the newer 4.6 Explorers, if you want a badge it at all. The V8 on the tailgate is a good idea, that way they can see what just passed them. No way would I put a Cobra emblem on it.

If I had a 5.0 in my Ranger I couldn't NOT have a 5.0 badge.

Just make sure the performance lives up to the promise.

Nothing worse than a Civic with a fart can running around telling everyone how he outran your V8 Ranger.

If it aint a Snake..............It dont need a Snake!
Thats some Hillbilly grammer for ya!

how about the best of both worlds a hybrid badge and a V8 badge... together! V8 Hybrid or Hybrid V8. hehe really confuse the tree huggers.:D :icon_confused:

I personnaly would vote for no badge, but I am a big fan of sleepers. I used to have a dodge spirit that ran low 12s.(it was a turbo 5 speed from the factory, I just made a few "changes" hehehe)

Think of how this confuses the tree huggers. A lifted Duramax blowing black smoke... but it is a hybrid :thefinger:. Not really, just has the sticker.:icon_twisted:
