Except for the manifold issue (rather weld a manifold than change head gaskets) you are way off on every other aspect. Don't let your 4k post ford fanboy ism get in your way.
So peak torque by 2400RPM vs 3000RPM means I'm wrong :icon_confused: And have fun welding that manifold multiple times.

Well peak torque depends on what year you got of 4L I6, the one first round of the H.O. versions made peak torque at 2400 rpm like the ford 4L, but from 97-01 the I6 made it at the mentioned 3000 rpm.

The jeep I6 is a hell of a motor, my brothers has 240k miles on it, and it still pulls hard.
