using IAC off 5.0- will it work on 2.9

Will an IAC from a 5.0 work on a 2.9? they look the same except the 5.0 plug has a 90 degree bend in it.... anyone try it?

I've used one from a 2.3T motor and it works great, it also had 90' bend in it, I dont know about a 5.0, I think they may all be the same.....

just a follow up and thanks for the info. I finally got sick of my truck dying when i came to a stop so last night a robbed the IAC off my mustang and put it on the ranger. The ranger now idles almost perfect and no more stalling!!!

If you want to use an IAC off of some other motor look for an IAC off of an early 3.0 taurus they atleast are chromed

Aside from that and connector variations I believe they are all pretty much the same.

atleast enough "the same" to allow them to fit and function.
