Unlabled aftermarket deck

If I were to pick up a aftermarket deck from eBay or a friend or whatever (not go steal one myself, JJ!!, but I assume 1/2 the decks on ebay are stolen) how would I know what wires on the back are what?

eg, on model XXXX JVC deck what wire is keyed power? what wire is always hot? what wires go to which speakers?
Will all JVCs be similar? Sonys?
Where could I find a legend/digram?

There all the same, so all you need to do is get the harness that plugs in to your OE harness and match the colors. If you want a break down I can get it for you just let me know.
