I'll refer you to the nearest Toyota forum to get your face pounded in:D

You should stop spouting off about what you don't know about. You're lucky that you are in Oregon.. cause stuff doesn't rust like back east. You truck does not exist there. It would have rusted in half and been recycled into 3 Kia Rios by now..

Will, if you have your truck in another 20 years, let me know how well the doors close on it.

I used to live in a world where only Ford people existed and everything was great, then Admin got corrupted and then there were all these people talking about trucks i didn't know existed. Anyone know where I can go to once again soak in my ignorance? LOL The this truck that truck battle will never be resolved and this thread could go on for years. So let me just set the record straight. The last real truck rolled of the Ford line in 79. J/K When you resort to personal attacks it doesn't make your truck any better, if your truck is better you will be driving it long after mine goes to the scrap yard. Good luck to you as it's 14 years old and has at least a 1/4 million miles on it.RB

What are you talking about. I am not spouting off bull shit. I am lucky I am in Oregon. I guess that would make you unlucky? My truck exists in a lot of places. Who cares if it rusts??? Your precious Ferd is going to rust in pieces too. If you haven't noticed everything rusts. You can't say all toyotas rust because people drive them so long that they fall apart. You never hear about Fords rusting out...probably because they don't last that long...well longer than a Kia or Hyundai.

Toyota trucks, from the 80s, have a KNOWN problem with rust; much more so than any other truck producer from the time. If you're going to argue that point, well, then you don't know much about Toyotas.

Comparatively, I see plenty of Rangers from the 80s in excellent shape with the same mileage. OCCASIONALLY, I would see a Toyota in good shape. But most of the time it was on its second bed and the cab corners were completely reworked.

I love Toyotas. Great vehicles. I'm working at a Lexus dealership now. However, to deny that they had MAJOR issues with rust in the 80s is like saying the earth is flat.

ill drive my fords till they pry my cold dead fingers from the wheel!.thats the way dad did it.....thats the way ill do it.
