I just got myself a Ultra-Guage
http://www.ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/index.htm

Well worth the cost if you want to pull codes and pending ones.
Clear codes too

I have it hooked up to my work van 2005 E250 i have 45 out of 75 gauges.
I have to say its scary to see how many gallons of fuel per hour a 5.4L uses.

I'm gonna have to ask for pics of how and where it plugs into. if it is the OBD2 port, That sucks!

How's the lag? I've watched videos on people "reviewing" them and noticed that the tach in the vehicle is spot on but the "ultra gauge" lags.

Its for the OBDII port, it plugs right in under the dash on the driver side.

I have seen something like this for OBDI but its around 250 ouch.

Here are some photo of it in action.
Sorry its has gotten dirty in the van.

Me wonders if there is a new model coming out if it is selling for that cheap.

how does it know "oil life" in a vehicle w/o a oil life monitoring system? do you punch in the mileage that you last changed it at and the specified interval that you pick?

For the oil life you set up alarms and it will track the miles and let you know.
not sure if there going to come up with a replacement mine. has a firmware date of Dec 2, 2010.
Its a nice alternative to Scanguage, which is about $170.00

the engine codes alone is worth the 69 bucks + shipping. shoot, i'm buying one. i'm anal when it comes to wiring, but I can make it tidy. I wouldn't mind having digital gauges... especially when it comes time to diagnose an issue myself rather than having someone else do it at 100-120 an hr to tell me that "oh your maf sensor is bad"... "now pay me parts plus labor to replace it". My last car, everything was digital (minus the speedo and tach)

of which, i had fixed for free when I bought the truck... cuz they said they fixed the issue causing the CEL. My a/c didn't work, the CEL was on... turned out to be a bad condenser for the A/C, they replaced and recharged it and replaced the MAF sensor... free!

Wow.
I payed for mine with PayPal and it was shipped two days later.

I finally got it. The one questions I ask is "Why the heck isn't there a voltage gauge for the ranger? Why the heck isn't there an oil pressure gauge for the ranger?"

Oh well, at least it isn't stranded for life in my truck!

I just clicked on it this doing a search for the ultragauge I know its a 2011 post but for the ones who have this thing after 'X' number of years, are you all still using it?? still find its worth having?
I was wondering if the ultragauge was able to be taken for car to car, if I have it in my Ranger on a day to day thing and then we take the wifes pontiac on a trip can I just plug it in the ODBII port and away she goes?

I would like to read some reviews from some of you, if possible.

I still have and use my Ultraguage. I mostly use mine to see what kind of MPG I am getting. it comes in real handy to read and clear code and basic trouble shooting.
I move mine all the time, there are settings for tank size and engine size. I have set the size of the engine, but in the end i am not really sure it makes much difference mentoring MPG.
I hope that helps you out.

so is this worth making a mount and leaving it in the truck all the time?
weight wise would a section of velcro hold it on the dash?
