Two quick rear brake questions

I'd at least take the brakes apart periodically, take the star wheel out and lubricate it with brake grease.

I put anti-seize on the star wheel threads this time to prevent that. In theory you are right though, they should be checked, cleaned, etc at least every time you put new fronts in. But I have to be honest, if one more part breaks or rusts off this truck in the next year it is getting traded in.

I swear, I do not think there is a metal part used by Ford that doesn't come from the factory rusted or pre-corroded. I am looking forward to the joy of installing my front bearing hub this weekend.

does any one know how to re-connect the cable/adjustment pawl/tension sprin so it will hold it against the adjustment wheel?
it's kicking my a$$!
