Two 2.9 - 4.0 questions urgent !!

Will the flywheel from a 2.9 bolt up to the 4.0 and work fine ? Will the 2.9 clutch work with the 4.0 ?

I am running a standard transmission, but only have an automatic computer. What will the negative consequences be ? I dont care about CEL's...

The computer will be slightly annoyed that your right arm doesn' shift the truck to 4th when it says to but other than that it'll run fine.

as for the 2.9 flywheel and clutch?

Will it fit? yeah...

will it live long?

For a brand new clutch for a 2.9 to last more than week
would require the intensive intervention by an interested diety.

I consider the stock 2.9 clutch to be "shit" on a 2.9.

BTW, you MUST get a 4.0 starter the 2.9 starter won't even bolt
into place, it's bulk interfers with a reinforcing rib on the block.
