Well next weekend I'm changing out a bad Cam Synchro, CPS, doing a oil change, plugs and wires, new tires w/alignment, new alternator, and belt. I was wondering if there were any more recommendations of anything else I should do while I'm Forking out the Doe. Heres a question; When I fire up my truck first thing in the morning it has an irratic idle until it warms up...What could that be? I also noticed when I use my A/C the idle does not want to drop.

Change the blinker fluid and repack the muffler bearings.

You'll need the Ford blinker fluid because the GM stuff causes them to blink erratically.

And you'll need an all-sixteenths wrench, a spool of flight line, and a bucket of prop wash to do the bearings.

Check your IAC for carbon build up if you idle is erratic.

By the way blinker fluid is in your trucks exhaust sample kit.

Fuel filter. Thermostat.(just in case)

Want to talk about a bitch... I went to go get groceries last night and noticed my charge light was on, and my truck was indicating it wasn't charging so I assumed it was the battery. So I didn't take the chance to go no where last night, called my boss and told him I'd need a couple of hours off in the morning to take care of it. Get to Autozone to get my charging system checked - Battery was fine, but the Alternator was not charging...so I tought. It just so happen that the day I went there is the day there system was down, on top of that the Alternator Bench Tester was O.O.O. So he used the portable one and told me the alternator was no good. I bought a new one along with a new belt, and put them on. I was excited...I started my truck up and damn if that charge light was still on. I was pissed. I started looking thru my fuses one by one and found this little dinky ass 15 amp bastard of a fuse under the hood that had blown... Changed it out - ended up being the problem the whole time. It was giving a false reading. My alternator was fine. I told the guy I needed a new one any way. It was so noisy I had to shut my truck off at drive thru's. It worked out but put me out about 140.00 bucks.:bawling:
