http://www.trsfabandoffroad.com/products/tuffcountry_ranger.htm

anyway was wondering what else i needed to buy if anything to get this succefully working, and anything i should be worned of. Im not looking to do to much offroading. some green trails and rouche creek.
thnks in advance.

For the rear end, get a set of 4 door Explorer leafs and Belltech 6400 extended shackles, instead of the add a leafs in the kit. You'll also need a pitman arm, and maybe extended brake lines. At least relocating them would be a good idea.

They are lowering shackles for a fullsize Chevy. The Ranger's shackle configuration is opposite that of the Chevy, so it lifts it.

Sunk... sounds easy anough... but why?

If TC gives you a little short stocky add-a-leaf, agreed, chuck it as far away as you can, it can actually damage your leaf spring (not to mention will ride like crap).

If it's a long AAL that is of similar thickness as the rest of your leaves, then it's fine and shouldn't create any issues (not familiar with what TC uses).

It's short... but longer than Duff's...

Yeah, still junk. A better one would be no more than a few inches shorter in length than the 3rd leaf there (better matching the stagger rate of the leaves).

Best is a long one directly under the main leaf, almost reaching to the bushing eyes (not sure if anyone makes one like that).

I'm planning on taking it out and going with a cut main leaf as an AAL under the existing main and see where that gets me. With the 8.8, extended shackle, and that TC AAL, I'm at 5" over stock in the rear.

I have a tuff country 4in lift on my mazda. Good Kit for the money. Seems pretty well built. I would recommend skyjacker extended radius arms though, they are much stouter.

The little AAL only lifted my rear end 3 in, so i had to get belltech shackles, and the back still sits slightly lower than the front. Expect 4-4.25 in of lift in the front ( on a supercab).

Overall the kit was pretty well built, except for I had to slightly modify the drivers side axle drop bracket, to make it fit flush with the crossmember.
