Tube Bumper Build


this is exactly what i envisioned when i started. im happy with how it came out.

the big tube with bent ends wont be an issues with trees, as it wont stick out farther than the body. it will be even with it, so i wont have any problems there

i understand why the ends cant be connected on this design and i think this one looks the best outta all of them so far!
 
wouldnt your brackets move it out? Idk, would like to see it when its done though.

Depends how I make the brackets.
I'll have to decide which design I'll go with when the time comes. I'll see where the tire gate tunes sit, and go from there.
 
Nice, but you really dont need that much bracing in between. You could have 3 and still be fine. Keep up the good work and go get some steel!
 
Haha I know I don't "need" it.
I'll probably take the center one out, and do a hitch receiver in that area, hidden behind a license plate holder that would flip up. Real clean looking is how I want to keep this thing.

Just gotta find some steel. What would be best? I heard cold rolled .200 wall from a few people. The outer tube is 2" diameter and the rest are 1.5".
 
.120 is plenty...
