True Duel 3.0?

this is a pretty old thread so i doubt if Wicked will respond, hes been missing in action for a few months now.

Thanks... I forget to look at the date; it at least got some response from others.

flyingbrick,

Thanks for the info.

i dont know what brand the glasspacks or pipes are...just whatever stuff my local exhaust shop stocks. im sure the brand isnt important. its more about muffler placement and the exhaust setup. i have pics of the system on my cardomain.

it would sound like 2 3 bangers fighting each other.

Well, since a V-8 doesn't sound like a four cylinder or a pair of four cylinders... I have to vote no.

The timing is different of each cylinder hit, so it will sound different.

Gibson Exhaust's own data shows a bigger increase in HP and torque with their single system than the split dual on the V6.

Sorry sludge but I gotta say... mine sounds better :thefinger: just playin man sounds good.

For a street truck, true dual would be fine. As an off road guy, I would never ever ever run true dual in one of my trucks. Always got to have some form of x-piped dual as I have a good history of clogging one with dirt :D

the ricer sound can be obtained with not muffler, I.E use your stock 2" diameter tailpipe, and just remove the muffler(cant remember if the cat matters or not), i did this to my old 3.0 that ahem...blew up...and it was loud as all hell going up through the rpms, i loved the sound but it was extremely loud and ricer sounding heh.
