It's such GARBAGE omg. I can't even do it.

I like Hank Jr... I like snoop dogg... but this new rap country stuff is literally worse than listening to a bag of kittens getting run over.

It all started about 10 years ago when RAP/Hip-Hop took over as the largest consumed genre of music, in the world, surpassing country AND Rock-n-Roll music. Since then, everybody who said Rap/Hip-Hop was a "phase that will soon fizzle out" has been clamoring to get some sales, so they infuse Hip-Hop into their music for the sales. I personally cant wait for MY music to NOT be so mainstream again, I honestly liked rap back when everybody else couldn't stand it, so I am patiently waitng for them to jump on a different bandwagon. I'm so tired of people asking me if I like Kentucky Music Mafia, or Adam Calhoun, that is NOT HIP-HOP, it is country Rap, a sub-genre of County Music and Hip-Hop combined and it SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems that for most of it's history popular country music follows the current trends for the popular music of the times.

You can see as an example what is now called outlaw country, is more of a rock country, Hank Williams Jr and Johnny Cash have a good amount of songs like this.

Snoop's old school stuff from the 90s was the best. Some bone, thugs, n harmony too. But I like rock. Just not tool type rock, like guns n roses, Aerosmith, Metallica black, some white zombie, and the 70-80s stuff. I do like some smashing pumpkins too, and pearl jam. They had some good albums back in the mid 90s.

I am not so much into the hip-hop rap stuff today. My wife loves it, I would rather listen to am than some of that stuff.
