Truck wont start, possible starter issue

My old 1991 4l Ranger decided not to start yesterday evening after having being parked for only few hours. When I try to crank it there is a click and nothing else. It is not the battery, battery gives a good 13V and is only 7 months old. I still tried to jump starts it but it did not help. I thought about possible bad battery connection but that does not seem to be the problem so I am thinking bad starter or solenoid. How difficult is changing the starter on the Ranger?

its not to bad to do if you can get the truck in the air but befor you go that fare with it get under the truck and find the starter. tap on it with a hamer and give it a little "jolt of life" and then try to start it. if it worked then you have a dead spot and you should re-bild/re-place your starter. if it didint the go back to the dralling bord. and if all els is lost have one on me

Thanks. Yeah I was also thinking about the starter solenoid being stucked. I will try the old trick but in any case I will probably have to replace the starter... but first priority is ... to get a
