So about two months ago I replaced my starter and it was fine and recently. It was somehow it backed the bolts out of the starter so it wiggled loose.I had to push start it to get it to kragen got the starter tested and said that it wasn't the starter even with the teeth all chewed up.it started hard with the new starter in and I went to start it yesterday and it sounds like gears grinding. I can't figure out what's wrong.any help is appreciated.

Your flywheel could be damaged. It just bad replacements maybe? Have you taken a really good look down there?

My 92 did that, the top bolt was stripped....it kept backing out. I had to drill and re-tap it, never had another problem....

Great. Not but I haven't actually had the chance to get a flashlight in there and see.

I don't think its stripped because if it was couldn't you just grab an pull the bolt out? :icon_confused:

Not necessarily there may be enough threads to kinda thread it in but not enough left to stay tight.

I would say drop the starter and have a good look inside.
