Truck finally went south last night on my way home from work, started taping extremly loud on the way, (been taping for a while) got to work with it sputtin. After work got about 3 miles down road and the speedo started backing off so i down shifted, still backed off down shifted again, then it died with a cloud of steam and smoke was able to roll off the road way. Luckly one of my co-workers was two cars back and she gave me a ride home. Just went and pick-it up a couple hours ago. Now i'll half to get serious about buying another or fixing it.

Sounds like what happened to me when I was going 60mph down a highway. I was stranded and had to walk to a church for help. Lucky for me it was Sunday, but it was an all spanish speaking church. I won't forget that experience.
The problem with my car was it spun 2 main bearings at the same time. What I think what happened was the oil pump went out on me. I ended up replacing the engine and transmission inside of 5 days and that included locating, installing, and running.

i think you should fix your truck. nows the perfect time for the 2.3 turbo

Probably what happened was the oil pickup strainer got all clogged up. This produces the same symptoms as a failed oil pump. I know when I took mine apart to put the turbo pistons in, my pickup screen was about 2/3 clogged. Other than that the 2.3s just don't really wear out.

Thats alright i coudn't afford the 3 grand you wanted for it anyways, or belive me i would have bought it when you first put it up for sale. it was a nice truck and i'm sure well taken cared for.
