YOU'RE the doctor that delivered it; can't you operate on it, or get it some kind of therapy?
Is it just me, but it just doesn't seem like we had these kinds of problems, back in the good old days, when it was just Ford, Chevy and Dodge, and gas was a quarter a gallon. Or, was it that cigarettes were a quarter a pack?
You kids! You make me laugh….
I actually remember 19 cents in two places when I got my day license (1970?), one on Tonnelle Ave in North Bergen, a mob place, and one in Hoboken under the Lincoln Tunnel expressway. Run of the mill cheap places were 22-23 cents. Who on earth would pay 25 cents a gallon for gas?!?!
I had the ‘68 302 Montego, and my 4 buddies would kick in two dollars each. We’d go to the Jersey shore and come back, and I usually had enough gas for the rest of the week.
I never smoked, but the guys in the Tonnelle Avenue place used to sell the cigarettes out the back door by the case - true story.
And thank you for your kind words, but I didn’t deliver it. I did the trans/changeover surgery, all cosmetic.
I have to admit, if I did it over again, I’d get bigger headlights…..
