Driving down street in the rain this morning and my truck shut down.Lost brakes and power, but electrical still worked. rolled to a stop and restarted fine. Happen again on way home, but is running fine now. any ideas?

Probably a loose wire...and most likely the main power line...not sure how yours is wired, but if you look around under the hood you will probably find a wire connection that is loose...trace back from the battery...could even be a bad ground on the battery...

Mine lost power one night on the highway and that's what it was...main power feed wire was holding on by one strand of wire...but my wiring harness has issues and one of the connectors was also falling apart...

I am tempted to suggest that it is the alternator.

If it's a short commute, it could be hard to tell.

Check the loose connection first.

If you can't find it, take it to OReillys and get them to put your alternator 1) on their bench testing machine or 2) hook it up their dignostic tool to your truck while its running.
