Truck bucks like mad

i had that problem on my 1994 2.3l ranger and i never could figure out wht the problem was it just kinda went away. or atleast it hasnt happend in a while. but it is parked for winter so i cant tell if it was anything major or not.

anybody ever figure out what was causing all this?? mine seems to be exhibiting something very similar but to the Nth degree worse.

would it buck going up hills or just on flat roads?
and do you have a metal tank?
I had a similar problem with mine and all it was was rust particles drifting over the strainer then getting sucked on to it or it could be the fuel filter too.
just a couple of suggestions

could be bad gas? gas quality is geting crappy and will make it sputter like mad. if i get gas at citco or hess or murfey oil ill sputer at 70 and over. i try to run bp/amaco or shell
