Truck "broken into" (hood access)

Just so you know they're 6mm thread and I don't remember the length but I think it's around 40 or 50mm, I conveniently had that on hand from a random bolt box from work years ago.

Most of mine have been replaced when the original breaks off and then I drill them out and tap to 1/4-20 and they are 2.5” long if I mind right. Maybe 2”. I bought a box of bolts years ago that get used but maybe I buy a different head this next box, lol.

In high-crime parts of the country people rig up a chain with a padlock to prevent opening the hood enough to steal the battery. Gotta be long enough to reach the lock but not so long you can't close the hood.
Dudes on other late-model Ranger boards give me sh*t when I say I disconnected the power tailgate lock but where I live collisions with wildlife are a much bigger hazard than tweakers stealing your tailgate or taillights.
