TRS on facebook!

Damnit. I should read the entire thread before making decisions...I just became a fan on the small one...

eh i don't go on facebook anymore. kinda out grew it when i graduated high school, but whatever you guys like

My issue with TRS being on facebook is that TRS has been such a major part of my life and I feel if it's there I should be monitoring it and interacting with it.

I really don't understand the whole facebook thing.

I understand why people have facebook. It gives them a home on the web for friends to find them.

I don't understand why any business or person with a website would be on facebook since they already have a web presence.

So seriously, what am I missing out on? What would be the benefit to me having a facebook page???

i dont see how getting the TRS name out there more could be anything bad for the site...

it lets you see who is behind the screen name...

nothing Jim facebook is there so people don't have to interact with each other in person.

what if you are hundreds of miles away from that person ? i interact on facebook with friends i have had for years that are hundreds of miles away at college now , and a close frien that is in texas that has intermittent cell phone coverage , but good internet , so i talk to him on facebook

i use facebook not only for school, but for keeping in touch with people we left behind back home in NY. as for a business being on facebook. You're friends get to see what you "Become a Fan" of. If they're interested they can catch the fan page, and then get hooked on the real site. So if i have a friend who sees me on facebook, liking TRS, then he might be interested in checking it out in his spare time. As opposed to me telling him just to go try out the site on his own. This is like, an appetizer, to the delicious entrée that is TRS.

i found my sister i havent seen in 13 years on facebook, shes been married for 6 years and has a 2 yr old daughter so im a uncle at 17!

i keep up with lots fo friends i dont see too often
with family who lives in the Us too

i used to use facebook and myspace untill someone hacked my accounts and my old e-mail and i never opened another account. For some people its usefull....for me its a total waste of time...i guess its just up to each person but me personally i will never have one.

+1

One of my friends who has a sami and a yota visits the site sometimes. He doesn't even have a damn Ford!

my dad has an account so that he could find his high school friends that he lost track of... Its also usefull for high school reunions plus he talks to me as i live 500 miles away

It has it benefits and its pit falls. I use it to keep in touch with my military friends and people I was cool with in high school. Down fall is that it can consume a shyt ton of time.

Jim, you're missing the most basic business rule, "get your name out there", and it's free.

Facebook is a social network, and depending on how much time you want to spend, you can "friend" thousands of people, for nothing more than the time you spend to connect.

I don't know if you've ever looked at the price of mailing, email or call lists, but I used to sell them, and I can tell you that can spend a lot of money for what you could pick up here.

Remember that I mentioned blogging when I wrote to you about your wife's business, and how companies are paying a lot of money to have a consultant tell them how to blog?

This is an opportunity to post your company name as many times a day as you see fit.

PM me, if you'd like to discuss this. I'm not going to charge you, but you're clearly missing the boat here, and I'd be happy to help.
