TRS Chapter in Mexico?

I'm an expat living in Yucatan, Mexico and a huge Ranger fan. We've got NAFTA Rangers, but also have tons of Rangers imported from Ford of Argentina, that include many interesting differences in content from NAFTA units, for example the 1-ton Ranger doble cabina (Crew Cab). Tanks to the Chicken Tax, the new and exciting 2019 Ranger was new here in 2013 and always available in a diesel. The Ford Ranger never left Mexico and Mexicans love their Rangers. The only problem is, we don't have a Ranger Station chapter, or a forum in Spanish.

What's it take to form a chapter and maybe have a little corner here where Spanish is welcome on the forum? Spanish is a second-language to me, so English if fine with me, but for traffic and increased interest from all the countries South of the Republic of Texas, a Spanish section would be welcomed by many Ranger fans.

Is this something that would fly here on the TRS forum, or is there just too much friction between the borders these days, to allow Spanish on the forum?

We generally don't care where someone is from. The forum is largely in English because probably +90% of our members are from the US and Canada, most of the European users are from the UK or some other country where English is common, and most South American members are expats like yourself.

We used to have a Spanish club that carried on in the Tailgate section, but I think am the only active member left. Most of our experts don't speak any Spanish, and I don't speak it well enough to do much in the way of car stuff.

We also don't get a lot of traffic from abroad because most of us have only ever dealt with the NAFTA units, and the global/T6 Ranger common in the rest of the world is foreign to us.

As for a "chapter", I don't think we have official chapters per se, just the occasional group of members who happen to know that they don't live too far from each other, or people who try to arrange a meet up if they will be passing through somewhere they know someone lives. Maybe Jim could set up a Mexico or South America sub-forum in the Regional section like he did for the various regions of the US though.

Don't let that brick wall background photo on the page scare you. If there's enough people that would use a Spanish section of the forum, I will create one. Do have you know any Spanish speaking Ranger owners that would use it?

I'm thinking about a forum just below 'General Discussions' for Spanish.

Just need a title in Spanish, with a description to go under it.

It will be a forum for General Ford Ranger discussions in Spanish.

If I see a reason to build off of that forum, I will.

How about "Discusion General"? The last o needs an accent mark, but I can't figure those out in the browser.

The description can go "Este foro es para discusiones generales. Si necesita ayuda, publíquela a continuación en el foro temático correspondiente, en Espanol."

Yes, I cheated and ran that last part through Google Translate, I am busy this morning and don't have time to run it through adsm08 translate.
