Patience my friend and try to follow along.

I'm the closest to MountainMike and that makes 1250 km between me and him. That's over 12 hours of steady driving at the legal speed limit and the roads are not always friendly.

This means the banner ends up in my hands in Smithers BC. I will definitely make sure SasquatchRyda in Terrace gets ahold of it and maybe a few others. Once we've made the tour here, it could easily go east another 370 km to Prince George if someone can meet me there. Another option would be to take it south for August 8/9 when I have to go near Hope BC if anyone wants to pick it up around there. I think the Calgary folks are itching to get their hands on it first, so maybe someone will step up to get it from Prince George.

push august 8/9 to september 27th and i'll be in hope, and will be driving the ranger... and most likely be going to victoria (though that will be on the bike) and then back from vancouver through the okanagan to calgary...

calgary to edmonton isn't too bad of a drive, so if we need to, we can do it twice, to make sure everyone gets it... or possibly make it a day trip up, chill with the peeps from the area on a saturday, then back to calgary, and then down to montana...

all i would like to see, is that when it gets out of the remote areas, (which i don't know logistically) it sees edmonton, calgary, and vancouver (along with their surrounding areas) before it hits the states... we've got enough members in all 3 of those places that it would be a big drag to have them miss out

I'm in. I'll push some dough into the "Banner Trust Fund." - expecially after the amount of money CRB had to spend. I think the only one who should administer it though is Jim. Maybe make it equitable - you have to drive at least xxx miles and the pot gets split proportionally between those.

Pete - Hell yeah. I just hope it gets down here when it isn't 100+ (37.7 C for you Canuks) around here. That way I'd drive my Ranger!

I reckon after AK/YT/first of BC a gas fund is out of the question. Yea as a token give the first 3-4 a jingle in pocket but after that REALLY!!!! I vote no. Some of us up north worked hard on time and logistics, tossed out money and risk of life. I personally spent a hellava lot of time cordinating the ALCAN leg and dont forget AK907Girl, she ran it up to Fairbanks and back n met Nick on the trail. Just sayin team AK and YT was epic.

woah! wtf? first off, no one is "entitled" to anything, nor is there anyone claiming that they are entitled to anything... the idea was posted that some people can't afford to travel 15 hours one way to move this banner

Richard (always floored) is only 1.5 hours away from the closest major city to where the banner is now, and it would cost him 1000$ in fuel round trip... it's great that you can afford to spend all kinds of money, but i don't think the majority of people can afford to drop a grand for this banner, i know i can't afford to do that

people were offering money to those who made long legs of the journey, not a single person yet, has asked for it, so i don't know why you are acting like you are so much better than everyone because you get off your ass and earn your own money

What kind of timeline did you have in mind?

Keep in mind that it can come to Prince George as easily as Terrace. 6 or 7 hours closer! Edmonton to PG is maybe 10 hours.
