TRS Banner Across North America 2012 - Alaska to Key West Florida (OFFICIAL)

The Whitehorse guys have already gone above and beyond!

^^agreed, but so have you ak dudes!

i would like to see this hit Gwaii, he is a huge contributor of awesome to this site...

looking over the map last time around, i see no other logical way than from whitehorse down to haida gwaii or terrace bc to SamsquanchRyder, from there... maybe a jasper weekend meeting between mrrangersir or samsquanch, and somoene from edmonton?

FYI, i plan to be going to vancouver in september, for a wedding, unsure if i will be driving or flying though, most likely flying, i am more than willing to take it on the plane with me, IF it is allowed, i remember Jim saying that AK was allowed to fly it (with members) but not anywhere else, even though in canada, a lot of our major cities (with members) are spanning 1000+km apart...

It is pretty sparse again until it hits the south.

I was looking at the map trying to figure if it was feasible for me to go up and pick up the banner. A 2,150 Km trip and C$1,000.00 in fuel alone, it's out of my grasp. I'm sure someone a little closer will help out and then I would be willing to do a 1,000 Km trip when the time comes IE; interior B.C.

1,000 km is fair....my '36 did it.......as long as it ain't gravel roads.....

Yeah those numbers I posted were 1way also...

Where do you get 1000$ in fuel? My truck gets 15L/100km or 15mpg (they are about equal) which means 29x15L which is 435L of gas, at around 1.15 a liter, gives me 500$...

Oh... Round trip... Yeah expensive

Sent from somewhere naughty!

I don't remember exactly the #'s I used , I'll try again.
2150 Km one way----Red Deer to Whitehorse
17 liters per 100 km-----my beater b-II
average price in Red Deer = $1.10/liter
average price up north = ? I'm guessing $1.60
so....
2150/100x17x$1.35=$493.43~$500.00.......one way
In my original post I must have wrote mileage one way but fuel round trip....a little confusing, even to me, but you figured it out and now I did too.:icon_thumby:

Ohhhhhhhhhhh....you were talkin "half a trip"!

Man!.....700-800 miles ROUND TRIP is costly enough...the Alaska bunch sunk some major $$$ into their trip....I feel for you guys...

Dude - he's some physics professor or something. It is a heck of a way to start a BBQ though - - - if the grill doesn't melt.

Hey DG,

Throw me on the map for Zip: 77088. I will drive all over Texas and into Looz-iana. I can hand it off to you if it gets this way to Texas. Shoot, I am willing to drive to Oklahoma and back, too. Do you still have my cell # in your Inbox?

Robert, maybe we'll have another shindig. Beers on me next time.

I wonder if Hazmat (in Dallas) wants to be in the running again.
