so the dash/column is ripped to shreds.........but i made it to work on time...

Yikes! Glad that didn't turn out worse. Your truck is the third or fourth first gen Ranger I've heard of that happening to in the last several years, granted it has a lot more miles than the others did. I was going to be hunting for a wiring donor for my 86, but I think I'll pass on that now. New chassis harness will be in the works.


As for finding members to do a meet and greet... Florida would be part of the Southeast Members forum. You are probably better off putting it in General Discussion forum if you want people to see it and put something together. Not like it'll hurt putting it there, it's become a catch all for everything these days.

he did an awesome job with his creation, and i hoped he would want to run down there with me...the two rigs are in diametric opposition of style and cover allot of rbv ground.....it would have been cool in my eyes anyway....add a sploder or b2 to round it all out.

Yes, maybe get a picture of the banner with the landmark on the beach...I recall something about a sign saying Cuba 90 Miles with an arrow out across the big lake down there...

I think there is a small string on the banner and if you pull it it becomes an inflatable raft with oars and everything...pretty neat!

So that's what that string was for, glad I didn't pull it.

The "bouy" isn't on the beach, heck is isn't really even the southern most point of the island. I was kinda disappointed first (only) time I saw it, but I guess it's as close as they could put it.

Just looked at NWS and they are only calling for coastal flooding, nothing about hurricanes. From the looks of that truck it should be able to swim, even with that big chunk of iron under the hood.

Hurricane Joaquin is days out from US mainland territory and models project a possible landfall somewhere up the Eastern seaboard. Missions arn't accomplished living in foxholes... CHARGE you somebetches!
