Yeah DG looks like it'll be you or me finishing this thing up once the weather gets right.

Please someone come take this thing to Key West. I really don't want the 14 hour drive (one way) to finish it. Maybe if it was a good vacation spot for me, but I've been there & done that. Don't particularly care to do it again.

how much clean used oil do you have access to?

Fort Valley, but close enough to Macon. I could meet anyone there easily enough. You coming through on your way south?

Clean used oil? None as far as I know.

clean is relative. oil from known water/coolant free source would be a better descriptor. preferably hydraulic fluid. by that point in a trip i would be able to take 30 gallons or so i guess. since i have not been running through there regularly anymore i lost my old supply sources.


trying to figure out a way to keep such a run under 500 bux. if i was able to work down there at the florida shop for a week or so to burn off some debt to the boss for medical it would be a wash at least..but i will likely have to do some training etc up here for the other company i am working for sporadically which is the big factor at the moment....been shitty times for oil field work the last few years on my end.
and the future isnt looking too good either.

Still don't know of any place where oil like that would be available. I work on the Air Force Base and I can guarantee that they dispose of a lot of it, but I don't have access to it. That stuff is handled by contract out there.

If you were to figure it out I could meet you in Macon at pretty much any time. That said, if I were in you shoes, I wouldn't make the trip just to move the banner. If someone hasn't stepped up by the middle of April I plan to take a couple days leave and make the run my self. I'd rather not drive all the way down, but I will once the weather warms a little. Last time I went it was during the off season, so it might be a little more interesting during their tourist season.

this summer come june to july i will be traveling from texas to savannah then down to welaka florida. I will also be visiting universal studios in florida. If the banner hasnt passed from GA to down near universal studios florida, I can take it as far as that. Then if someone could meet me to hand it off.

That's a good possibility.....let's see what happens before then.

If I didn't have plans to go to Cape Canaveral in September, I go get the Banner this week!

Yes its still near Macon. If its still here then you are welcome to it, just make sued you have someone to pass it off to in Florida. We don't need it getting stuck in Texas again.

Only about 3 years ago, sorry. We're trying to get it from TN or GA, to FL now, if I remember correctly.

If the Banner makes it to Thomasville, GA I can pick it up from Tallahassee, and take it all the way to Miami, making stops for signage of course. I'm planning on making the trip first week of May.
